Corinne’s story shows once again how important it is to have the right mindset. She’s done Weight Watchers before, but this time around her recognition and vanquishment of her emotional eating issues give her the confidence to know she’ll succeed in this way of life and eating that she’s chosen.

-What finally made you decide to start with a weight loss program?
I knew I had to lose weight for 3 years now, but I also knew that I wouldn't be successful, because I simple wasn't ready. In July I decided to do the Weight Watchers Programme by August (just after the summer holiday), this time I was ready.

-What type of weight loss program are you following?
Weight Watchers

-Why did you choose this weight loss program?
I have lost lots of weight years ago with this programme, only then I wasn't aware of my emotional issues and eating and I gained it all back again. This time I am going with my mother who also wanted to lose some weight.

-How long have you been on your weight loss program?
14 weeks

-What kinds of physical activities do you like doing to help you lose weight and stay fit?
So far, nothing. I will start going to the gym again by next week and plan to go there 2-3 times a week.

-What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome or are still overcoming?
The only thing is that I have to be aware all the time of why I eat and also after getting "bad" food, I need to be aware enough to get to the “good” food again the next day.

-How do you keep yourself motivated?
I kept the clothes of a slimmer period and I got them all out again and some I can fit in already and the others are there to stimulate me to go on this road. I also throw away the clothes that no longer fit me because they are now way too wide. I do not plan on going back to those ever again.

-Do you have any weight loss tips for our readers?
I love to eat out and my diet is not stopping me. When I want to I just go and have lunch with a friend and I order what I like. I do not feel guilty, I just get back to the programme afterwards and so far I never gained weight. I did have 3 weeks that I didn’t gain or lose any weight and I was fine by that. Those weeks I had dinner parties, etc., so I was happy I didn’t gain any weight.

-Do you think it will be easy to fall back into your old lifestyle pattern? How do you prevent this from happening?
I actually do not see it as a diet, just a way of life and I will always have to live like this and be aware of what I eat and when I start eating, so it is no short-term issue, it is for the long run. I am the one that can make it a success or not and this time I plan to keep the weight off.

I stay aware. You always have a choice, I think that is the main key. Most of the overweight people are eating to fill a need. Become aware of what your need is and you will get control over your life again.

-Do you have a favorite Web site or blog that helps or inspires you to lose weight?
My blog is corinne-delis.typepad.com. I sometimes check www.weightwatchers.com, but nothing more than that. I know that a support system can help a lot of people but in the end it all comes down to you.

For me the Weight Watchers programme is great because you can share once a week your experiences and when you have reached your goal you can come back once a month to check your weight for free. Again something that helps you to stay aware.
